"Stage Blight"

Films: Murders in the Rue Morgue (1971)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: AAAAAAAAA, ah, ah, ah, you stop right there, Herbert Lom. We see you trying to pull off that "Phantom of the Opera" thing again. Don't think it'll fool us anytime soon.

History: An old actor at a particularly risqué theatre, Rene Marot had more than a few acting chops, and was a true romantic at heart. But then he made some enemies due to his relationship pursuit, and a staged...stage accident resulted in him getting acid to the face, and death long afterward. But he faked this death, all so that he could get revenge on those who wronged him.

Notable Kills: Almost always with acid.

Final Fate: Ironically, it is Rene's new target for love who does him in. She manages to cut the rope keeping Rene airborne, sending him falling down to his death. At least for him, he got his revenge on the man who started it all.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-It's clear Lom's trying to emulate his previous role as Hammer Productions' Phantom, but it's coming off as more boring than ever. Still, nice acrobatic when the time comes.

Trivia: -Vincent Price was going to play as Rene, but the rest of his career got in the way, so Lom was hired.

-Director Gordon Hessler's reasoning for making from the source story so much was because he thought everyone knew the original ending by that point. If only most other remakes thought of that first.

Also, apes and gams.

Look. We know it's a costume. Drop the act.
Ron Jeremy must have dropped in.

A real bordello of blood.

Schlockthropus' Evil Twin has made the scene!

I told him going out with that mask with a case of sunburn was a bad idea.
